The Nigeria Football Federation Is Set To Lavish N138.4m On 10 Nollywood Stars To Cheer-Up The Super Eagles At The FIFA World Cup In Brazil

This is a case of desperate times requiring desperate steps,in an attempt to further ginger the swagger of the Super Eagles at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil, following the poor performance of the Eagles in their World Cup opener against Iran, rhodiesworld gather that, the management of NFF deem it necessary in their wisdom to raise the bar of the Nigeria Supporters Club to cheer the Eagles to Victory in the next 2 games with Croatia and Argentina.

For this reasons, top 10 A-list Stars of Nollywood will be added to the existing supporters already at the FIFA`s soccer event in Brazil.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has allegedly set aside $800,000 (about N138.4 million) to sponsor 10 Nollywood stars to cheer the Super Eagles during the 2014 FIFA.

Sources said Nollywood stars are currently lobbying to be selected, reports Afrikansoccer.com

In the financial plan presented to the National Assembly, the NFF had revealed its decision to invite the duo of Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, popularly called Aki and Pawpaw and eight other Nigerians in the entertainment industry for the on-going world football fiesta.

But the General Secretary, Musa Amadu debunked it all yesterday saying, “We are not taking any Nollywood star to Brazil. There’s no truth in the agency report that you are telling me about. A Nollywood star visited me but he is my friend and it had nothing to do with the World Cup in Brazil.”

Hmmm….we shall see how this changes the mode of things for the Eagles.
